Thank You

Thank you to everyone who has read or been reading this blog over these past few months, thinking and praying for Nan and all of us, left comments here and on Facebook, sent cards and emails, and attended her Celebration of Life this week.  We know there are others who would have liked to have been there, but we do understand and such as life goes!

This will likely be the last entry to this blog, and the closure of our chapter in mom's New Way, the rest is up to her.  But before doing so, I wanted to share with you the video I prepared for the Celebration and some pictures of our time together this week and a separate little celebration trip to our beloved Timber Peak at Skyland Ranch.  Thank you to Margaret's best friend, Tammie Corbin, for being here, for pushing herself, and for the pictures!  Please remember that you are welcome to see all the pictures and captions I've used on this blog at the source, my Picasa Web Album.

The song Margaret and I sang for her through our tears atop Timber Peak is the Skyland song...and here are the lyrics, so apropos for mom and us:
A long hill, a steep hill that climbs up to the sky
And high o're the pine trees, a bird is soaring by
A farmhouse, an orchard where wild deer love to roam
A land in the sky we all can call our home
Skyland, oh Skyland, our hearts will always be
With you in these mountains beneath the tall green trees
Our hearts are full as we remember mom and carry on.  Family was everything to her...we're happy we were able to share this end with her so completely...giving her all she ever wanted.

May you find your own happiness and live fully with love and peace.

Invitation Reminder to Celebrate Nan

As we'd previously announced and shared our invitation, we would like to take this opportunity to remind you that all are welcome to celebrate our mother's life this Wednesday at her church, Spirit of Joy in Hemet. All are welcome to join us, and those that can't get there at that time, we know you'll be there in spirit. :)

Wednesday, August 27, 2014
11:00 am
Spirit of Joy Church
3126 West Johnston Avenue
Hemet, CA 92545

There will be light refreshments available with the lunchtime service.  The family would like to request that in lieu of flowers, we ask you to consider donations in her memory to either Spirit of Joy or to the Ramona Humane Society, where she adopted her beloved Jezebel.
